What on earth is an Electric Water Flosser?
I had never heard of an Electric Water Flosser either until my mother told me to get one! Taking care of my teeth has always been a priority of mine and I feel like it should be for many people. And if you think about it...an Electric water flosser kind of makes sense. There are electric toothbrushes and most people argue that it's actually better than a manual one. So it was only evitable that I was going to come across an Electric Water Flosser.
So basically, this is how the product works...
It's very simple and easy, you put water in the container in the back of the product and fill it up about halfway. The electric water flosser that I use is called the 'Oral Irrigator' and is made my Hangsun. It came with a handy travel case and even came fully charged! The only thing I will say about this Electric Water Flosser is that the plug to charge it will need an adapter if you live in England or don't have a shaver outlet in your house. However, grabbing an adapter from Amazon is really cheap, easy and is a small price to pay for healthier teeth!
I drink a lot of coffee and I am always worried about it staining my teeth!
However, this water flosser comes with three different settings that have put my coffee drinking worries at ease. There is normal setting, where the water sprays out really fast and is perfect for busting all the grime that forms on your teeth throughout the day. If I have more than two cups of s coffee throughout my day, I will use this setting when I get home, however, I would say that my favourite setting is the Pulse. This allows the product to have an auto timer for two minutes, which I feel is a good time allotment for flossing. And finally, there is a soft setting for everyone with sensitive teeth. The perks of using an Electric Water Flosser:
- It's so quiet! - I am always worried about waking up my housemates when hoovering or using the washing machine early in the morning. However, when I brush my teeth at night and then go to use my Electric Water Flosser, I don't have to worry about making too much noise.
- It's waterproof - I don't know if this is an obvious point, but the product is waterproof. I keep mine on right on the edge of my sink next to my toothbrush and I don't have to worry about it breaking.
- It's so so powerful - When you first use it, it can be a bit scary because it is so powerful. But after using it a couple times, you get used too it and you really start feeling the effects.
- It improves your gum health - I find it way more effective than traditional floss! I also don't have to keep buying a disposable product which I just end up finishing and throwing away.
- It comes with spare nozzles and a travel case! - This isn't a product where you need to keep buying spare parts for it. It comes with a spare nozzle (the bit at the top which you put in between your teeth) and a travel case! You can take it with you anywhere!
If you want to pick up your very own Water Flosser you can pick one up: Here
And I would highly recommend it! Whether it be mental or physical, self-care is so important. Even though your teeth are maybe something you don't think about often, they are definitely a part of your body you should take a lot of care of.
Do your teethy-pegs a favour!

Sometimes, you have to make yourself feel stronger because of no-one else will do it for you!
And I think music is the perfect way to do that. Personally, my taste falls under the 'I like all types of music' category. However, my main preference when it comes to listening to music, I would simply describe as 'sad, emo boy music'. I don't know if this is a common phase, but when you become a teenager and begin getting all hormonal, hating the world and such. One might start listening to Fall out Boy, Paramore and Panic at the Disco... Well some of those people, never leave that phase, e.g. me. I don't really listen to anything mainstream and I tend not to listen to the radio but when I need a song to remind me how bad-ass I am, I do often go to what are considered 'pop songs'.
Here is my feel-good, girl power list of songs -
Confident - Demi Lovato
Fuck You - Lily Allen (Sorry Mum for swearing, it's the name of the song!)
Bad Girl - M.I.A
Girl on Fire - Alicia Keys
You Don't Own Me - Grace, G-Eazy
Put Your Records On - Corinne Bailey Rae
Live Your Life - Yuna
Bulletproof - La Roux
Leave (Get Out) - JoJo
Stuck - Stacie Orrico
I'm Every Woman - Whitney Houston
My Humps - The Black Eyed Peas
Answerphone (feat. Yxng Bane) - Banx & Ranx, Ella Eyre and Yxng Bane
Kiwi - Harry Styles
2 - H.E.R
Good as Hell - Lizzo
Run Run Run - Celeste Buckingham
M.I.L.F.$ - Fergie
Fight Like a Girl - Zolita
Celebrating any female's work is really important, whether you consider yourself a woman or not. All the songs on this playlist (apart from Kiwi) is by a female artist. I live my life by the quote 'Empowered women empower women'. However, the other thing that really comes through with this playlist is that most badass female singers were in the 90s. If you want a song that isn't going to empower you but also makes you feel powerful, then I really recommend something from the 90's genre! I hope this playlist will make your day a little brighter and you will move on through 2018 feeling good! If you have any recommendation for me (and I would love some!) feel free to comment below or message me on Instagram.
Also, I would like to say a quick thank you! To all my blogger friends who message me on Instagram everytime I post, my amazing best friends who always there for me and my family who build me up every day.
Thank you for making my blogging journey enjoyable so far!
I recently got my first tattoo...
It isn't overly complicated and this might be a short post but I thought I better tell you the meaning behind my minimalistic tattoo and what caused me to get it. I haven't been posting regularly lately and I apologise. I have been finding myself recently and that has been a lot of crying, turning off my phone and taking a break from social media. Luckily, I have a group of supportive friends and family, so I am getting there quickly.
And that leads me to my tattoo.
Firstly, this tattoo was not on a whim. I have been thinking about this for years but I never had the courage to do it. I had seen and heard horror stories of people getting awfully done tattoos and this was going to be on my body forever, so it took me awhile to come round. But recently, I fancied a change. I knew this tattoo was something I wanted and since I have been home (in Dorset) for the week, I thought, why not?
I got in contact with the ladies from Invictious Ink and explained my situation. They were lovely and really helpful when touching up my idea.
My tattoo is made up of five individual large-ish stars connected by dotted lines to make them appear that they are in a constellation. These symbolise my siblings and me. The first star is for my older sister, then me, then my younger and sister and finally, my two younger brothers.
My tattoo is not finished though and it won't be for a good few years!
From my older sister's star (the first) there is a smaller star coming off of it, again connected by a small dotted line. This is for my older sisters son, my nephew. As myself and my siblings begin adding to our own little families, I will be adding their children to my tattoo. Every time one of them has a baby, I will have another little star added to their main, larger star.
One of the main questions I got asked is (and I am sure it's the same for many people), did it hurt? For me, no. It didn't hurt. It was on the fleshiest bit of my arm, it was a small, simple tattoo and it was only line work. I didn't have any shading done, so I barely felt it. Although, I have heard it has hurt other people.
However, if you want a tattoo, get one. It isn't a good enough reason not to get one just because it might hurt. If something means so much to you that you want it on your body for the rest of life, take the chance and do it.
This tattoo means a lot to me. I love my siblings and I am very lucky to have such a loving family. I wanted to do something to show that I care as sometimes, I find it hard to express it. Also, I felt it was symbolic for many reasons. You can never quit on your family, they are on my body forever now. Also, even as we grow and make our own families, we will always be part of one, large unit.
I love you lots Stacey, Grace, Tyler, Kai and Ralphy ox

5 things you know are true if you live in the 'real' countryside
Do you think you live in the countryside?
Since leaving where I live in the country and moving too, what I consider 'the city' or at the very least, closer to London. I have seen a lot of people who don't really know what the actual countryside is. So, I compiled a little list of what the top five things you will know is true is if you honestly live in the country.1. You have neutral coloured wellies with real mud on them
Do you know how many places I go too where people are walking around Waitrose with Hunters welly on? Pristine and brightly coloured wellies. When you live in the country, your welly boots are your life and they have to go with every outfit. Plus, you are going to be walking through muddy fields after muddy fields, so there is no point in buying anything other than dark green, brown or black welly boots. Any welly boots you buy from H&M or New Look are NOT really wellington boots.
2. You don't ANY access to 4G and the internet you do have doesn't always work
When I moved to uni which was closer to London, I realised that 4G was just something people just had. It was super common. Where I am from (the middle of Dorset) 4G does not exist and if for some miraculous reason you do have it, it won't long or work very well. Also, that really expensive broadband you pay for, that's not that great either.
3. Your local Starbucks is over an hour away.
I am a coffee lover and I have been for a while. I started drinking coffee when I started working at my Dad's shop because it was early mornings and to be honest, I kept seeing my dad drink it so I thought it was a good idea. There were plenty of coffee shops too chose from when it came to finding good coffee to drink. However, I found that I really enjoyed the drinks from Starbucks. Luckily, where I go to at university, there is a Starbucks right outside my classes, however, when I come home the nearest one is about 45 or more away.
4. The 'where are you from?' conversation
There is nothing more painful than explaining where you are from when you are from the middle of nowhere. People will be like 'where are you from originally?', to which you will answer, 'in the middle of nowhere'. But they will ask again, more of a precise location and they assure you that 'they might know it'. But you know they definitely won't have a clue where your little countryside town is.
THEN once you say it, they don't know it and you have to begin listing off all the cities or towns that you consider close to your home. It is a hard conversation and eventually, you just say 'Dorset' just because it's easier.
5. All of your best friends and enemies all live in the same small town
First off, you know everyone in your town and everyone knows you. Everyone know's everyone's business. For every person you really don't want to see when walking downtown just to buy a bottle of milk, there is someone you have grown up and miss seeing every day that you will run into when you in your local Asda. You never want to go home but at the same time, you always want to go home.
Get ready for a super soppy post...
Dogs are better than cats, hear me out. I am a lover of all animals. In my breaks from university, I work at a kennel and I have always grown up in a house full of pets, whether they be strays or pedigrees. At one point, we had so many cats my Dad had to build a cattery (like a kennel but for kitties) on the side of the house just so we could house them all. So, this is no means a hate post towards cats. I can honestly say that dogs have to be one of my favourite things in the world. And today, I want to tell you about how I met my best friend ever.
I first laid my eyes on my puppy on the 16th of January 2013. She was the only girl left in her litter and she was tiny. I had begged my Dad to let me have a dog for ages, his response was always 'when you get your own house, you can get whatever pet you want'. But I was persistent, I wanted a dog. After going through a break-up, I became very upset. I began not to enjoy school that much, which was one my happiest places to be. I had always loved school, I loved learning and every aspect that encompassed education. Just a little disclaimer - I was 15 years old at the time and this seemed like the end of the world. I had and always will have a flair for the dramatic. But my Dad, being the big softie he is, let me go look at a litter of puppies.
To say it was instant love is an understatement. She was adorable and I wanted to take her home right away. I didn't want to see any other dogs, she was perfect. I left that day knowing I had just met my best friend. We were scheduled to pick her a few days later but then, the snow hit. I remember my mum texting me whilst I was in school and telling me that after I had finished for the day, we were going to go get her. It was a lot sooner than I had expected but the snow was setting in thick and fast so we didn't waste a second to drive up and bring her home. I bought her home that day, wrapped in a little blanket.
Flo Monroe was welcomed into our household.
I get a lot of comments about Flo Monroe's name. Mainly because she has a posher name than most humans let alone other dogs. After working at a kennel and hearing dogs named 'Max' and 'Emily', I really didn't want a human name for my little puppy. I named her Flo, my thought process was that she was a little dog, therefore she should have a short and sweet like her. I know some humans are also called Flo and I understand the irony. But I didn't want a 'dog' name either. I didn't want my dog to be named something like 'Spike' or 'Biscuit'. Does that even make sense? And Monroe obviously came from Marylin Monroe.
Flo is a chihuahua mix and to begin with, I was a bit apprehensive about what her temperament was going to be. When I thought of a chihuahua, images of posh people carrying around little, yappy dogs was what came to mind. But Flo is nothing like that. She is little, she does bark but apart from that, she is one of the most well-behaved, obedient dogs I have known. Moral of the story - don't let depictions of dogs sway your judgement when it comes to buying one. Not all Staffies are dangerous, not all pugs are stupid and not all chihuahuas are yappy.

Being at university and not having her here is very hard for me. At times, when I am super stressed (which is often) I always think about how having Flo here would make my whole day better. When I am older, I am definitely going to be the crazy dog lady that you see walking down the street with about twelve dogs on leads. But Flo Monroe will always be my first, best friend.
I know this post was super cringey and soppy. But I am thankful for my little puppy every day. I argue that one of the greatest feelings in the world is having your very own puppy that will love you unconditionally.

Marvel fan girl No. 31304537642
I am not going to pretend that my love for anything Marvel is different or original. I could tell from not being able to get a ticket to see Infinity War until this Sunday, due to all the tickets being booked. And even after going three days later, the cinema was still packed. I patiently dodged spoilers for three whole days. Do you know how hard that is when you have any sort of social media?
Disclaimer: I put up a poll on Monday asking if people would prefer a review with or without spoilers. Overwhelming, people voted 'no spoilers'.There will be NO spoilers.
Okay, so basic plotline if you didn't already know (which I doubt). Thanos is on the move to collectall six infinity stones and the Avengers and co are out to try and stop him, basically.
Ten full years have been leading up to this moment, and will it live up to the hype?
In short, I thought it did. There was no part of the film (apart from what I mention below) that I wasn't completely impressed by this film.
I really enjoyed it. I thought it was done so well as it was such an ambitious cross-over. For such an anticipated film, I thought it did really well.
I was really impressed by the amount of screen time they managed to give each character and how they managed to represent each hero's personality. They kept the seriousness of The Avengers whilst still keeping the music and goofiness of The Guardians of the Galaxy.
I also felt there was just enough humour in it. There was a joke every now and then, but not enough to make cringey. Overall, I loved it.
The movie had no 'fat' to put it lightly. It got right into the action, there was no build up or anticipation. No-one in the cinema moved for the entire 2.5 hours that the film played and when it was over, everyone stayed in their seats whilst waiting for the end credits.
So let's get into the negatives (without spoilers of course). There wasn't much I didn't like about this film. Apart from the fact that there wasn't enough Groot in it. Groot has to be one of my favourite characters, even though he only says three words. As from the trailers that came before Infinity War, it was clear that in this film, Groot was going to a teenager. We have had fun, adult Groot and adorable, baby Groot. I was looking forward to sitting down and watching some grumpy, adolescent Groot. But unfortunately, I didn't think he got enough screen time. I wouldn't say it ruined the film for me and he does redeem himself a little at the end, but for most the film, I was thinking 'where's Groot then?'
Secondly and I have to give credit to my boyfriend for pointing this out, but they destroy everything that happened in Thor Ragnarok within the first ten minutes. Which again, didn't annoy me, but I didn't see it coming. I can guarantee that you don't have to have watched the eighteen films prior to this one, but if you are going to watch any of them before, I highly recommend Thor Ragnarok, if you really want to get the full effect and cry in the first ten minutes.
Without spoiling anything, the ending ripped my heart out. Bring tissues and junk food to eat your feelings afterwards. I felt like Marvel had been building up these characters for some many years through a plethora of films and now, they are just slowly destroying it. Which is one of the most effective tactics, it put me on the edge my seat at all times thinking 'I am not ready for them to die yet'. I think the fact that they brought in all of the film's directors to help introduce and combine each superhero group was amazing. I love Marvel, always have, always will. However, I do feel like I need at least ten days to fully recover because I felt like I had my heart torn out and put back in so many times.
Every time I think that Marvel has created my favourite film to date, they come out with another one that is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this film and if you don't want any spoilers from now on, I suggest staying off social media.
